Peebles Pavilion Project

The Peebles Pavilion Project began in 2021 as a plan to transform the empty space behind the Peebles library into an open-air classroom. The pavilion was designed to provide Peebles Elementary students with the scientifically-proven benefits of outdoor education and to serve as a lasting legacy of the pandemic, which gave us a greater appreciation of the outdoors and the resiliency of our children and their educators. 

The Peebles Pavilion opened in August 2022 after a tremendous team effort lead by our Peebles PTA, Peebles teachers and staff, current and past Peebles families, the North Allegheny Facilities Department, and the project sponsors. We are thrilled for the PES community to enjoy this new outdoor space for many years to come.

Peebles PTA was also overwhelmed by the community support for our Engraved Brick Fundraiser which provided current families, teachers, staff, alumni, and local organizations with the opportunity to purchase bricks that were personalized and incorporated into a permanent walkway at the Pavilion.
